today there are refugees

i know you've been holding your breath for my next refugee entry.

here's the deal... it's easy, even for me, to think of the refugees in our city as "it" and not always realize there are millions still fleeing or in camps and other settlements around the world. they have not all arrived yet. they will not all arrive at a final resting place.

this serves as my weekly reminder that today there are refugees. i beg you, don't let this and other issues be "out of sight, out of mind." seek to know and understand.

never before in history has so much information been available to us- and at the same time, so much opportunity to make a difference with the click of a button. that is an incredible responsibility.

we have a world of resources at the tips of our fingers, i continue to pray for wisdom in how to steward this incredible responsibility.

in all of this, i am thankful that for all of history the God of creation has seen the hurting and forgotten. he sees them all. each one.
