speaking of books

every summer i get through more books in 3 months than i do the other 9 months of year. why? the pool.

i finished the book i wrote about a while back which was Hope Lives. i think that was the best study book i have ever read, and it really was timely in my life. i *highly* recommend it.

i am also reading Francis Chan's new book called Crazy Love. it's written much like he speaks, if you have ever listened to his sermons. it's not a deep theological book, rather it's more of a simple reminder of who God is...and therefore, who i am. who i am not. it's a pretty quick read, which is why i have no excuse for not finishing it yet (except a few cloudy weekends and long sunday naps). you can learn about this book and watch videos about each chapter at www.crazylovebook.com

last to mention today, i recently started a short and very well written book about AIDS. it's full of easy to read info, i think it's only about 83 pages long. it's very informative & i recommend it to everyone. it's strange, i read books like this and deeply desire everyone i know to read them. and with knowing, i believe comes responsibility to act. so, know that i am asking you to learn and take action about the global AIDS crisis. please hurry, thousands will die today of AIDS and tomorrow and the next day. i'm begging God to show me how to be part of making a difference and i want you to join with me in action.

happy reading, let's go change the world because of the great love of our Father God.
